1. Game Format
1.1. Player Eligibility
All players participating in Mettlestate Apex Legends tournaments must have a valid Origin ID. The game account is needed to check if the correct player is playing.
Team rosters must consist of at least the minimum number of players required to participate in a cup. Teams are only allowed to play with players on their roster with a registered game account. All roster changes must be made prior to the start of a cup. Playing with different players and/or illegal ringers will result in punishment. The team must play with their registered roster of 3 players for the duration of the whole cup.
The roster must consist of 3 players. 1 reserve is allowed.
1.3 Game version
All players must install the newest version of the game in order to participate in Mettlestate cups. Updates must be installed before the cup starts, so delays will be at a minimum.
1.4. Technical Issues
Teams are responsible for their own technical issues (hardware/internet). Matches will not be rescheduled because of technical issues and matches will be played regardless.
To keep cups as efficient as possible, Mettlestate reserves the right to disqualify teams. This will only be done in cases where a team purposefully stalls or attempts to block the cup from starting.
Usage of any 3rd party programs that enhance, add, modify, or remove game appearance, colour, or files, is strictly prohibited during this event.
Intentionally changing your character's angle to look through a texture or object is prohibited. You are not allowed to set two actions to the same key in key bindings.
The intentional use of any bugs, cheats, glitches, or errors in the game is strictly forbidden and will be penalized. Any team found to be using any known exploit will forfeit their game upon the first occurrence of the exploit. If the team is found to use another known exploit for a second time and it is determined to have been done on purpose they will be removed from the cup and barred from any future cups.
2. APEX Cup Rules
2.1. APEX Tournament Format
- All teams grouped into one ladder bracket
- Teams will play 3 Rounds
- Each Round will consist of 2 games (ie. 2 screenshots required per round)
- Each kill is worth 1 point. Each Win is worth 6 points.
- Teams will have 1 hour per Round (ie. Both rounds will have to be played within that hour)
- Teams will be given a unique Match Lobby ID from tournament administration for every round that will be required in screenshots.
3.1. Substitute Players
It is only allowed to substitute a player before the match starts. If the match is started all 3 players of a team must play the game until the end. It is possible to switch players in a Bo2 between the maps. A team is allowed to have 1 substitute player.
3.2. No show
If a participant cannot play at the scheduled start time, we will remove the team from participating in the tournament.
3.3. Number of players
Teams are allowed to play one match per round with 2 players, in case of technical problems.
In the case that a player(s) disconnects during a match, the team is allowed to continue to play the match at a disadvantage.
Participants can choose to forfeit a match if they wish. Forfeiting will result in 0 points from that match and possible penalty points.
In case of a tie in the results, the team with the most damage advances. If still tied the winner will be chosen randomly.
All reporting for the rounds will be done through the Mettlestate Discord server. The #pro-talk-Apex channel will be used for general discussion. The #Apex-PC-Submissions Channel and #Apex-PS4-Submissions Channel will be used to submit screenshots.
When reporting match results, please make sure that the unique Lobby ID is included in the screenshot. Also please state what team and round the screenshot is, i.e. “Team Flannigans Round 1 Match 1”
3.8. Personal Streaming/Recording
One person per team will be required to stream/record his perspective in order to verify results.
